First Holy Communion

Paige is the youngest of my friend Michele's children and I've literally known her since she was about two days old. Her older brother and sister have already made their first holy communions and this year it was her turn. She looked like a little angel with her white dress and veil. I actually got teary when I saw her walk down the aisle.

He is Risen

I should leave the picture taking to my husband. My patience for a good picture was lacking as evidenced by the pictures in this post. The crosses were inspired by Simple Sweets by Honeybee. She's amazing! Go check out her blog. Seriously, go check it out now.

You're in Our Thoughts and Prayers

Last week I was asked to make cookies for a memorial service. This was a first for me, cookies for a funeral. I wanted the cookies to be as tasteful (no pun intended) and respectful as possible. I was only given a few details about the gentlemen that had passed away. One detail was that he and his wife were raising their twin granddaughters and the cookies were mainly for the two young girls. I hope the cookies bought a few smiles on what was otherwise a sad day.

Thanks Judy for ordering the cookies!

And thanks to the ladies on the Cookies R Us forum who suggested I make flowers, doves and crosses.

Baby P's Christening

Tracy, my friend from college had a beautiful baby girl last March and before the baby was born we all affectionately referred to her as Baby P. Her name is Lila, but I still occasionally call her Baby P. These cookies were made for her Christening.
