Open Wide

I was a popular patient when I brought these cookies to the dentist. How can you resist a tooth cookie that has a anxious expression. You'll notice that some of the teeth have cavities. Guess they didn't brush for the two full minutes after each meal.

I feel pretty...

Have you ever see the musical West Side Story? It's not my favorite musical, that would be The Sound of Music, which I drug my husband then boyfriend to see on our 4th date. What can I say, he's a very good sport. But that's another story. Don't worry, I've made it up to him by watching 4 million football and hockey games. Okay I'm getting off on a tangent. Anyway, there's a scene in West Side Story where Maria, the main character is dancing around the room singing these lyrics
"I feel pretty...
oh so pretty...
oh so pretty and witty and gay..."
You're thinking where is she going with this, right? Well these cookies remind me of that song, which is now stuck in my head.

Beach Boys and Gals

These were for a company summer picnic.

My husband arranged these cookies. Not sure what he was suggesting.

Happy Independence Day!

It was a busy week and weekend for the Manns. On Thursday, I drove to Cleveland with one of my college rommates, Jen to visit another college roommate, Tracy. She and Jason, her husband and adorable baby, Lila live in NYC. They were staying with Jason's parents for the week. Tracy and Jason are perhaps my biggest cookie fans. Jason has joked that he needs weekly cookie shipments and Tracy admits to be addicted. I'm more than happy to be her supplier. In order to express her gratitude for her in-laws hospitality, she asked that I make them some sailboats and lighthouses. About a minute later, she asked if I'd make another dozen for her and Jason. It was my first official paid order!
