Bachelorette Party

My other favorite client, Joann, asked me to make cocktail glass cookie favors for her daughter's Bachelorette Party. I had hoped the stem of the cocktail glasses would be strong enough, but when I was moving the decorated cookies to trays in order to dry they started breaking. I knew the cookies would never hold up in a cellophane bag. Thankfully I had extra cookie dough in the refridgerator and I had seen some fantastic lingerie cookies on Flickr. I suggested to Joann that we put the cocktail glasses on a large platter. Then I made lingerie cookies into favors. She got a kick out of the finished product.

Thanks Joann!

Welcome Back to School!

Don't you wish these cookies would have been waiting for you when you got home from school? I don't remember my after-school snacks ever being this colorful. What were your favorite after- school snacks?

Cleveland Browns Football

My biggest cookie fans live in NYC, but their teams aren't the Giants or the Jets. Tracy and Jason live in a divided house with one a huge Cleveland Browns fan and the other a gigantic Steelers fan. Being that Jason's team is a pretty awful, I decided to send him some Browns cookies out of pity and for his birthday. My husband Chris, another Pittsburgher that bleeds black and gold, is my cookie photographer. He joked that if the Browns actually beat the Steelers, I'd be banned from making anymore Cleveland Browns cookies.

Sorry Jason, but Go Steelers!

Go Penn State!

My husband Chris is a Penn State alumi. Need I say more. My favorite part of the game is watching Penn State's football coach Joe Paterno. What a guy.

An apple a day...

You know what they say about eating an apple a day to keep from having to see the doctor. Sounds good to me. I'm partial to tart Granny Smith apples. What's your favorite apple?

I wouldn't be very happy to find a worm while eating an apple, but these little guys are pretty cute. It's not often you see a worm smiling.
